**JOB SUMMARY**

The Team lead person is responsible for leading the Warmline peer Support staff while maintaining duties as a Warmline Peer Support Worker. Responsibilities include supervising/leading/scheduling/training the program staff and assisting with responses to participants' behavior while providing support to staff. Other duties involve ensuring program progress through consistent care and working collaboratively with staff to ensure the health and safety of all staff and participants.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS**
- Have personal lived experience of a mental illness or mental health challenge, and currently be in a stage of recovery that allows them to manage their mental health and wellness.
- Five years of prior experience as a Mental Health Support Services or related position.
- Strong leadership skill and ability to build rapport with people.
- Kind and caring demeanor and professional behavior that fosters peer relationships.
- Previous experience in crisis intervention, counseling, or a related field is advantageous.
- Knowledge of the legislation, policies, and procedures that govern the provision of mental support services.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Customer service skills and ability to delegate tasks effectively.
- Strong work ethic and teamwork.
- Time-management abilities.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Demonstrated ability to work with mínimal supervision.
- Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills are required.
- Ability to function in a demanding and stressful environment.
- Acute sense of discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search and Adult and Child Abuse Registry Check.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Answer calls from persons experiencing or struggling with their mental health and provide peer support that is delivered within the recovery context.
- Provide support in scheduling and payroll administration.
- Contribute to the ongoing implementation of the Strategic plan.
- Assist the Program Manager with the recruitment, placement, training and orientation of staff, and participates in developing strategies for staff retention.
- Provide support and services under a person-centered, recovery care model in accordance with the self-identified needs of the Service Recipient.
- Support program staff to ensure that all mental health support participants receive equitable, efficient, appropriate, accessible, timely and safe mental health support.
- Lead the development of, and implements mental health support work plans, direction policies, and procedural guidelines for the program.
- Prepare for, attend, and participate in all appointments, staff, and team meetings and attend training, conferences, and/or expositions as a representative of Sara Riel.

**ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Maintain and grow the reputation of Sara Riel within the community, and other related organizations to meet the goals of the organization.
- Protect calls in their anonymity unless the caller means to do harm.
- Measures and sustains program statistics to monitor success and ensure timely action when there are deficiencies.
- Monitor the evaluation process.
- Participates in the development and engagement of staff that support the program ensuring they are well able to support their clients and the organization

**Salary**: $17.22-$18.01 per hour
