**About the role**

As a Governance Risk and Compliance, Analyst, you will be accountable to ensure the successful completion of security assessments, measure and ensure compliance with standards and regulations, contribute to the reduction of security risks, and help provide guidance on overall best practices for governance, risk, and compliance activities.

This role can be performed from our Ottawa or Toronto offices, following a hybrid model approach. This is a permanent opportunity. #LI-Hybrid

- Fulfill CDIC’s compliance efforts with relevant information security and privacy-related obligations as required by laws, regulations, standards, and by following best practices and security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, ITSG-33, and COBIT.
- Identify and assess risks, contribute to the development of risk mitigation plans, and collect metrics for risk management activities.
- Assist the GRC Manager in the creation and development of cyber security policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines.
- Remain up to the date of evolving cyber security threats and trends, and in how to effectively use GRC tools and platforms for tracking risk and compliance.
- Contribute to the development of reports which measure the overall effectiveness and performance of the cyber security program.
- Participate in post-incident meetings, and track and follow-up on the implementation of any recommendations.
- Collect and provide metrics and data as required for the annual SWIFT attestation activity.
- Develop and maintain a cyber security risk register.
- Conduct Government of Canada (GOC) security assessments as an assessor using the Security Assessments and Authorization (SA&A) process and draft Security Assessments Reports outlining critical risks and recommended remediation.
- Develop information security content for security awareness activities.

- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Cyber Security, Computer Science, or a related field and/or five (5) years equivalent work experience.
- Three (3+) years of relevant experience in the IT risk, security, compliance, or audit field.
- Certification in one or more of the following: CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional); CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor); CRISC (Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control); OCEG GRCP (GRC Professional Certification); OCEG GRCA (GRC Auditor Certification); ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer; ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and ITSG-33.
- Risk assessment and management methodologies.
- Basic concepts related to cloud computing and security infrastructure.
- Experience analyzing SOC2 Type II reports.
- Knowledge and experience using GRC tools.
- Certification in ITIL is a plus.

Security Clearance: Eligibility to obtain a Secret level security clearance
