We are looking for a Risk Assessment Program Analyst to support our Security Branch. The Risk Assessment Program Analyst would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity.
Analysis and assessment of security risks and threats associated, with physical and people-based security issues; and for the development of program plans and proposals for mitigation of such risks in consultation with Branch policy and operations colleagues.
The Risk Assessment Program Analyst will have the opportunity to visit NRC sites across Canada and provide assessments on how to ameliorate the physical security aspects of our buildings.
**Screening Criteria**:
**Education**:
High School Diploma.
Post-secondary education or training in physical and personnel security or a combination of education and relevant experience.

**Experience**:
- Experience planning, designing, advising and recommending an overall risk assessment and management framework for the broad range of physical security issues applicable to Government of Canada programs and goals.
- Experience providing physical security assessment and risk management process guidance and advice within security threat and risk assessments.
- Experience drafting threat risk assessment reports for review by management to ensure they are aware of risks relevant to their teams and locations, and to understand their accountability for supporting risk management, mitigation of threats and the more general security policies across a government organization.
- Experience incorporating a review and analysis of trends and developments in security support systems in all such risk assessment and risk management studies and advice, and in order to propose response measures.
**The following experience might be considered an asset**:
- Experience conducting reviews of the physical and personnel security posture of Government of Canada facilities and programs.
- Experience leading projects engaged in analyzing, describing and estimating the risks and relative benefits of newly proposed program policies, plans and respective resource measures; comparing estimated risks with criteria such as costs and potential response by internal and external interests.
- Experience completing risk assessments for visits to sites.

**Technical Competencies**:
- Knowledge of special security issues associated with physical security, personnel security and network and information security to provide knowledgeable contributions and advice in the assessment of risks associated with each of these security priorities.
- Knowledge of effective risk assessment reporting formats including the profiling of those features of particular significance to program and management authorities across the NRC.

**Relocation**:
Relocation assistance will be determined in accordance with the NRC's directives.
**Compensation**:
From $64,022 to $75,389 per annum.
In addition, the incumbent who meets the language requirements will receive the Bilingualism Bonus of $800 per year.

- This position will require some travel across Canada.
- Willingness to work overtime and on short notice.
