**_The opportunity_**: The Maintenance Technician, Level II is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and general upkeep of the property, including preventative maintenance programs. They will also provide technical assistance, guidance and problem solving to contracted employees to ensure the efficient and cost effective completion of repairs and maintenance.

**Schedule**:
**Sunday: 9 am to 5 pm**

**Mon to Thurs: 1pm - 9pm**

**Friday and Saturday: Off**

**_What you will do: _**
- Litter pick-up, power sweeping parking area, garbage removal, minor plumbing and electrical repair, display set-up and removal, and general maintenance/upkeep of the property, including but not limited to replacing damaged signs, pot hole filling, and graffiti removal.
- Plans, prioritizes, performs and monitors preventative maintenance including (but not limited to), painting, carpentry, door maintenance, lighting, plumbing, Fire protection, roofing, HVAC and other general repairs as required;
- Snow removal using shovels and power equipment as required
- Assisting with maintaining service records and repairs on various pieces of equipment and systems
- Responds to and completes service requests in a timely manner;
- Contacts, oversees and assists contractors with repairs that cannot be handled internally;
- Performs daily inspections of the property (internal/external);

- Other duties as assigned.

**_Who you are: _**
- High school education;
- Post Secondary studies with building maintenance, fire protection or fire alarm systems is an asset;
- Previous experience in retail or shopping centres is as asset;
- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, power tools, roofing, HVAC, painting and drywall;
- Good interpersonal skills with a customer service focus.
- Knowledge of provincial health and safety standards and WHMIS;
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work on ladders, scaffolds and lifts;
- Work indoors and outdoors during different weather conditions;
- Valid Ontario G2 Drivers License;

**Computer Skills** - Basic skills in Word, Outlook and Excel
