Logistics Specialist

Skills/Knowledge:
- At least 2 years experience in transport and logistics (5 years preferred).
- The ability to speak and write fluently in both French and English.
- Must possess strong communication (verbal and written) as well as
interpersonal skills.
- Must demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work both independently and within a team.
- Ability to assess and escalate situations as necessary and as they occur.
- Efficient time management skills with an ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Excellent computer and typing skills.
- Efficiencies in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Daily Tasks Include:
- Obtaining & negotiating cost effective market prices.
- Providing services and rates to clients to ensure we are meeting their shipping requirements and providing options and rates that meet their budgets.
- Creating rate sheets for key clients.
- Account Management.
- Relationship management with clients and vendors.
- Taking incoming calls.
- Booking shipments.
- Dispatching shipments for clients.
- Validating shipment paperwork (bill of lading, airway bills, commercial documents).
- Tracking pickups and deliveries.
- Keeping clients and vendors updated on the progress of the shipments.
- Ensuring all of the relevant details for both the pick up and delivery locations are confirmed and updated in the profiles.
- Ensuring all orders are booked in the freight management software.
- Ensuring clean notes are input with the correct pricing to avoid invoice disputes.
Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
