The role of the parts Department Assistant is to facilitate our growing company’s inventory & supply chain requirements. This position is suited for that individual who wants a career in inventory control. This role will assist the Parts Team in carrying out the duties associated with running the Parts Department By providing a wide range of support services including pulling parts for orders, cycle counts, receiving, forklift moves. This position is suited for an individual who wants a career in inventory control.

**The Job**

The Assistant’s duties will include but not limited to:

- Filling parts requests for other departments & technicians
- Data entry in accounting software
- Communicating with vendor to order parts
- Receiving parts from couriers
- Stocking shelves
- Inventory control which includes maintaining stock levels as per forecast report
- Accurate picking of parts for schedules and bill of materials
- Maintains a clean & organized stockroom
- Assist inventory count as required
- Vacation relief for Depot Driver and other staff as required
- Forklift moves
- Other tasks as directed by parts lead or parts supervisor as required

**Hard Skills**
- 1-year inventory experience
- Computer skills and familiarity with commonly used office programs.
- Forklift certified
- Continuous learning
- Valid class 5 driver’s licence
- Physically fit, able to stand, bend twist, squat, lift
- Excellent communication skills in English
