**Aux Vivres Cuisine**, a leading vegan and Montreal food production company, is looking for an experienced **Saucier** to join it's team in the Central Kitchen.
Located in a sunny/bright building overlooking The Mile End, we prep, cook, assemble and package (with love) fresh vegan food to then deliver it to our restaurants and clients all around Québec.
We offer a fixed schedule, **Monday to Thursday from 9:30 AM to 5:30:00 PM, 32hs per week.**
**What the job is about**:
- Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
- Prepare sauces (e.g. mixing ingredients, portioning, stocking fridges)
- Answer, report and follow sauce supervisor’s instructions
- Complete assigned tasks based on the established weekly production plan.
- Ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the department
- Participating in the daily production.
- Maintaining a positive work environment.
- Complying with and upholding Aux Vivres policies, procedures, and hygienic standards.
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- All other tasks assigned.
- The work is physical and can require some heavy lifting (up to 50-55lbs/20-25kg)._
- The position also requires being on your feet for most of the shift._
**Requirements and qualifications**:
- 1/2-year experience in a similar role. 1+ year of experience working with industrial machinery and elements.
- Dexterity using knifes and kitchen equipment: inline mixer, Vitamix blender, carousel, piston filler, packaging machines, etc.
- Able to work Monday to Thursday
- Good communication skills
- Have initiative
- Punctual and dependable
- Organized and able to meet deadlines. Able to work in a fast-paced environment meeting the safety requirements.
- Ability to calmly navigate stressful events
- Ability to multitask
- Adaptability, troubleshooting, and teamwork are all assets.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $17.50 per hour
