Division Overview

Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. HPS products are also used in the civil construction, transportation, gas and water industries.

**Position Overview**:

- Technicien(ne) en Matériaux Composites qui agira principalement en support à la Production afin de résoudre les problèmes et réduire les rejets. Travailler à améliorer nos processus de fabrication afin de produire des pièces Bonnes du Premier Coup.**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Support à la production, s’assurer de mettre en place les bons éléments afin de faire de bonnes pièces du premier coup
- Fiche de route, maintenir à jour les documents techniques (instructions de travail, procédures, contenu technique des bons de travail, etc) et résolution de problèmes
- Faire des audits de qualité afin de s’assurer du respect et de la compréhension des procédures de production
- Remplacement pour la gestion de Bon de travail dans SAP (ouverture et fermeture)
- Participer à la gestion des inventaires des matières premières
- Réaliser des essais de caractérisation des phénomènes physiques, des propriétés des matériaux composites
- Préparer le matériel, les produits et les solutions nécessaires à la conduite des analyses, essais en laboratoire et essais mécaniques
- Effectuer la mise en forme des échantillons, pièces ou prototypes par moulage ou par usinage
- Manipuler, étalonner et effectuer les dosages, noter les observations, enregistrer et traiter les données recueillies, les interpréter, en extrapoler les résultats et les communiquer aux requérants sous forme de rapports, tableaux ou graphiques
- Fournir une assistance technique, guider les usagers et leur démontrer l’utilisation et le fonctionnement des appareils, instruments, outils, équipements et logiciels
- Participer à la conception de divers équipements, appareils, prototypes, pièces mécaniques et outils de montage, en déterminer le mode de fabrication et d’assemblage
- Diagnostiquer les problèmes reliés à la production de produits en matériaux composites
- Participer à la formation des opérateurs et employés de production
- Effectuer toutes autres tâches jugées connexes et nécessaires par votre supérieur immédiat

**Skills and Experience**:

- Détenir 1-3 ans d’expérience en milieu manufacturier, dont idéalement au-moins 2 ans en production de composites/composés/autres produits chimiques
- Détenir un DEC en matériaux composites ou équivalent
- Nécessite de soulever occasionnellement des poids lourds allant jusqu’à 50 lbs lors des inspections de pièces et des tests
