Job Summary

Reporting to the regional director, the candidate will work as a materials engineering technician. He/she will be responsible for a variety of jobs on site.

Responsibilities:
  1. Confirm materials delivered to the site (aggregate, concrete, asphalt) according to plans and specifications;
  2. Conduct field material testing according to applicable standards and procedures;
  3. Prepare site technical reports using ABS softwares;
  4. Perform maintenance and calibration tasks on certain equipment;
  5. Write and follow up on non-compliance memos;
  6. Implement H&S measures;
  7. Work out of town, such as Fermont, James Bay or Nunavut (at your discretion only);
  8. Perform any other related duties.
Profile:

Hold a CEA, DEC, BACHELOR, or comparative assessment in civil engineering;
Have a valid driver’s licence and a car;
WHMIS 2015 training;
Good team spirit;
Versatile, meticulous and professional.

Description française Sommaire du poste

Relevant du directeur régional, le titulaire du poste agira à titre technicien en ingénierie des matériaux. Il sera responsable de divers travaux de chantiers.

Principales responsabilités:
  1. Vérifier les matériaux livrés au chantier (granulat, béton, enrobé) en conformité avec les plans et devis;
  2. Effectuer les essais liés au contrôle des matériaux en chantier selon les normes et procédures en vigueur;
  3. Préparer des rapports techniques de chantier à partir d’outils informatiques;
  4. Effectuer les tâches d’entretien et de calibration de certains équipements;
  5. Rédiger et effectuer le suivi des mémos de non-conformité;
  6. Appliquer les mesures de SST;
  7. Travailler à l’extérieur tel que Fermont, Baie-James ou Nunavut (à votre discrétion seulement);
  8. Effectuer toutes autres tâches connexes.
Profil:

Détenir un AEC, DEC, BAC, ou évaluation comparative en génie civil;
Détenir un permis de conduire valide et une voiture;
Détenir une carte ASP en santé et sécurité (incluant la formation SIMDUT 2015, un atout);
Bon esprit d’équipe;
Polyvalent, rigueur et professionnalisme.
