The IT Manager is responsible for providing oversight and direction to staff, creating a culture that harmonizes with the overall mission, vision, strategic priorities, and values of OEB. Inspire teamwork, cohesiveness, and innovation to effectively deliver the required services in support of OEB. In this role you will work with the IT Director in formulating and managing the Information Technology strategic plan (ITSP) and operational plan (ITOP) for OEB. This role will lead the maintenance, refinement and development of all related major multi-year project initiatives and manage partnership relationships.

**Responsibilities**:

- Plan, organize, lead, and manage business activities to increase efficiencies, people effectiveness, and continuous improvement processes to align with Divisional
- Create and implement practices to promote diversity and inclusion to support a diverse, accessible, and inclusive organization
- Direct and design operational activities and provide direction and support for IT solutions that enhance corporate business operations
- Lead the team of 5 direct reports, while promoting cohesiveness, motivation, and commitment to the department and OEB’s strategic deliverables
- Direct, supervise, manage, and inspire internal staff dedicated to service excellence and stakeholder engagement
- Partner with managers to establish seamless business integration practices and gather business requirements to better utilize data and technology
- Ensure that cyber security systems, controls and procedures are operating effectively to manage vulnerabilities, and provide continuous protection from external and internal parties
- Develop a technical overview of the IT infrastructure, including a roadmap for IT and an IT training plan.
- Drive departmental deliverables, meet organizational targets, and produce operational metrics for corporate reporting
- Ensure a high level of user satisfaction for all internal stakeholders
- Cultivate relationships with external vendors to ensure quality technological services are being delivered

Qualifications:

- University/College degree/diploma in Computer Sciences, Computer Systems Engineering, Business Systems, related discipline. Certification in related Cyber Security domains
- 5 to 10 years’ experience in Information Technology leading software system designs, development, and infrastructure implementation. Demonstrated experience in information privacy and security, compliance, authentication and authorization management and cyber security
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in a people management role leading an IT function working with system/infrastructure designs, support, and implementation in a unionized environment
- Proven skills in influencing building rapport and stakeholder relations.
- Experience developing and implementing IT strategies
- Knowledge of current and emerging directions in the IT field
- Knowledge of the energy industry, and related regulatory processes
