As Marketing Strategy Consultant, you will be integral to the growth of an organization that promotes inclusivity, sustainability and community through our many community-based programs and practices.

**Project Summary**:
The Riverdale Hub is seeking a motivated, rigorous and knowledgeable person to join our team as Marketing Strategy Consultant. In this position, you will be responsible for increasing revenue generation through event rentals within a not-for-profit model.

As Marketing Strategy Consultant, your duties will include:

- Developing a marketing strategy package aligned with Riverdale Hub’s values
- External Market Research: identifying specific markets and individuals for mid-size events that would be interested in renting space at the Riverdale Hub (ie: wedding planners, film location scouts, nomadic arts festivals, etc.)
- Identifying which websites to advertise rental services on
- Creating value driven language to advertise our services and connect with potential clients
- Developing and implementing a link building strategy to drive traffic to Riverdale Hub website
- Exploring and developing rental packages for gallery and events spaces based on competitive analysis of real estate market with different revenue generation models (ie: membership based, ticketed events, etc.)
- Identifying key features and possibilities of rental spaces
- Developing targeted promotional materials for specific sectors that highlight attractive rental features to these markets
- Other related responsibilities as they arise.

**Qualifications**:

- Graduated from university/college in a specialized discipline relevant to marketing, event planning and/or commerce
- At least 2 years of comparable work experience in marketing strategy
- Demonstrated knowledge of marketing principles, digital marketing principles, social media marketing principles
- Knowledge of SEO principles
- Proficient with design software such as Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong research skills
- Ability to work collaboratively, as well as independently
- Proficient use of Google Suite and Microsoft Office
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and resourceful
- Experienced in and passionate about working with marginalized communities; knowledge of the issues and barriers faced by racialized immigrants, refugees, women, 2SLGBTQ communities of colour is particularly valuable
- Knowledge of not-for-profit business models is an asset.

**Hours of Work**:
16 hours per week over a period of 8 weeks

**Project Rate**

$350 per day at total of $5670

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 8 weeks

**Salary**: $350.00 per day
