Network, Server and Cloud Systems Support Technician

We are currently hiring for the Network, Server and Cloud Systems Support Technician position.
This position's duties include (but are not limited to) assembly, servicing, repairing and installing technology (servers, wifi, routers, servers, layer 2 and 3 switches) for ISSERVICE Technology and its customers, both at our office location and at the customers’ site, as well as internal administration (documentation). Backup setups, troubleshooting and monitoring will be part of the role. You will primarily working on Tier 2 and Tier 3 setups and support for our customers, however you may be called upon to assist other technicians with other needs and projects where deemed necessary by management. This position includes being involved in the planning, implementation and support of our clients' computer, server and network device infrastructure.
Providing effective fast and well communicated support to our clients is the main focus of all positions. This is an experienced role with the expectation that once being successfully integrated into our team, other team members will leverage your experience and knowledge to help them, and likewise you will leverage the pool of knowledge from our other technicians to assist you with your tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- College Diploma and/or University degree in Computer Systems Technology
- Certificate or comparable experience in Linux administration
- 5+ Years Tier 3 Experience in supporting business networks.
- Proven knowledge of TCP/IP and data protocols
- Administrative knowledge of Microsoft o365 products and management
- Administrative knowledge of VMWARE and Hyper-V Virtualization environments
- Administrative knowledge of Windows Server & Active Directory setup/configuration/Troubleshooting
- Administrative knowledge of Netgate/PFSense router configuration
- Voice over IP (VoIP) understanding and troubleshooting ability
- Experience with systems monitoring software (Zabbix or Similar)
- Backup systems and monitoring experience (Nakivo/Veeam)
- Security Operations (SoC) familiarity and monitoring
- Submittal of time for all work performed throughout the day. All time must be accounted for.
- Proven ability to prioritize and multitask
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Good documentation skills
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
- Personable, good communication
- Works well in a team environment
- Willing to work flexible hours when needed
- Participate and engage in company and assigned team meetings.
- Valid Ontario Driver's license and clean driving record
- On-Call ability
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
