**PTW is hiring a PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT to join our team in Lower Mainland, BC.**

**_ We are looking for qualities such as leadership, confidence, safety focus, calm under pressure. In this role, you areresponsible for the day-to-day management of the construction site focusing on the mechanical and electrical scopes of work. If you are a licensedindustrial electrician with strong problem-solving skills and you can provide operational leadership to our team, we want to hear from you_**

**GOOD TO KNOW**

- Flexibility for overnight trips is a real asset.

**WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING**
- Initiate, coordinate, direct, and schedule site personnel to ensure project objectives are met.
- Assist with the optimizations of mechanical and electrical design drawings.
- Assist in preparation and negotiation of mechanical and electrical subcontracts.
- Monitor the overall progress of the project and take corrective action where necessary.
- Maintain a good working relationship with customers, consultants and subcontractors.
- Prepare and review reports on progress, costs, materials used and adjust work schedules as required
- Assist with commissioning process, building turnover and closeout documentation.

**PEOPLE**
- Maintains a respectful and engaging work environment for all employees. Accountable for compliance with union agreements
- Prepare overall work plan and schedule in conjunction with Branch Manager.
- Effectively provide overall supervision, coordination and scheduling of construction activities and consistently complete projects on time, on budget and to the client's satisfaction.

**MUST HAVE**
- A degree and/or related trade experience in Electrical and Instrumentation industrial installations.
- 10 years' experience in the construction industry working with contractors with relevant work experience in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and how they integrate with construction elements.
- Be capable of reading and understanding Instrument, Electrical, and P&ID drawings

**EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**
- Demonstrated competence in the areas of safety, workforce management, project execution, cost control, quality, and administration.
- A strong leader and problem-solver, you are able to build and steward trust with clients, subcontractors, and team members to effect competitive excellence and pride in teamwork with outstanding project delivery.
- Sound knowledge of construction and building techniques is required.

**SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT**
- Must have clean driving record and be able to provide a current drivers' abstract.
- Must have CSA approved safety boots.
- Safety tickets required: Standard First Aid, WHMIS and CSTS
