**Canadian National Railway Company (CN) is looking for a highly motivated person to fulfill a full-time (40h/week) Intern, External Reporting position in Montreal, QC from January - April 2025.**

Job Summary

The Intern, External Reporting is involved in the administration of day-to-day financial activities including assisting on the production of accurate consolidated and non-consolidated financial records in accordance with the United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (U.S. GAAP).

Major Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end closing for complex areas of accounting including preparing account reconciliations
- Participate in the quarter-end planning process
- Assist with compiling and maintaining month-end checklists, including financial statement disclosure, on designated areas and assist other team members during quarterly and annual close process
- Participate in the preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial reports
- Participate in the review of quarterly presentations for various departments
- Work closely with auditors to provide information and clarification during external audits

- Fluently bilingual both written and verbal (English, French)*

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Experience in data analytics and reporting*

Education
- Working towards or have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Any experience/education/skills/knowledge for these above would be considered as an asset
