Reporting to the Senior Director of Business Operations, the Business Planner develops and supports initiatives, and manages projects that further Toronto Community Housing’s strategic and restructuring goals in a manner that supports TCHC’s tenant focused culture. They are responsible for coordinating a variety of projects associated with the Business Operations initiatives. They are responsible for identifying emerging problems and proposing solutions to senior management and the executive team. The work environment is fast-paced and collegial, and the Business Planner is expected to be solutions-focused and collaborative, and to exercise sound judgement at all times. In this role you will work in a manner that supports TCHC’s tenant focused culture
**What you'll do**
- Partner with the Regional Operation’s Leadership teams to develop and advance performance and quality improvement initiatives
- Develop and implement standardized reports and dashboards for various levels of the Regional Operations Leadership teams.
- Implement and evaluate process improvement initiatives across the Regional Operations in partnership with front-line staff, service pillar leads, and regional leadership
- Plan, co-ordinate, communicate, monitor, and report on the implementation of strategic initiatives
- Develop recommendations to improve business processes in support of customer service
- Project manage the delivery of key internal change and service integration projects including changes to policies, procedures and business processes to improve customer service
- Consult and collaborate with other business units, front-line staff, residents, and executive leadership as appropriate to gain their feedback on content areas
- Lead development, implementation and analysis of satisfaction surveys related to service delivery
- Collect data and information that help divisions understand who the customer is and how satisfied they are with TCHC services
- Collaborate with operations and corporate support teams to support effective change management, training, and communication
- Support a reporting system that includes data and performance information on service metrics
- Conduct research on best practices and maintains up to date knowledge about customer service and experience strategies and translates it into the TCHC context
- Ensure initiatives are delivered in accordance with internal, resident, shareholder, or other requirements
- Lead related business intelligence and data analytics projects for the organization
- Develop reports, papers, briefing notes, and presentations for internal use and to communicate to stakeholders
**What you'll need**
- Post-secondary education (graduate degree preferred) in business or public administration or other relevant field (e.g. public policy, law, communications, social policy)
- 5 years of experience (work or co-op) in a large public sector organizations in one or more of the following areas: policy analysis or development, performance measurement, customer service/experience strategies, market research, strategic planning, creation and monitoring of accountability systems.
- Proven ability to analyze and interpret data, prepare reports and statements.
- Excellent project management, conflict resolution and organizational skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation skills
