**SUMMARY**: Reporting to the Director of Community Services, the Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the operation and supervision of the mobile crisis team and program services. The supervisor will provide guidance as needed to the Mobile Crisis Team clinicians as they assess client's mental health and develop plans to address the current crisis. The supervisor will train, evaluate, motivate and engage performance management with all mobile crisis team clinicians. The supervisor will ensure the quality of mobile crisis team services to community and documentation to ensure it meets program standards. This position works collaboratively with internal and external partners to ensure that services operate in a manner consistent with The Link's policies, mission, vision and guiding principles.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**: of the Clinical Supervisor include, but are not limited to:

- Motivates, leads and supervises mobile crisis clinicians through regular contact and regular scheduled supervision;
- Hires and performance manages mobile crisis clinicians in conjunction with the Director of Community Services or designate;
- Ensures thorough orientation, training and ongoing education for mobile crisis team clinicians;
- Conducts regular performance reviews and helps address areas of improvement and training for employees;
- Counsels, motivates, supports and exercises progressive discipline to mobile crisis team and refers advanced concerns to the Director of Community Services;
- Maintains supervision files, prepares and submits employee related reports as required;
- Enhances operations by ensuring sufficient staffing, monitors overtime requests;
- Acts in the capacity of MCT Clinician in the event of staff shortages i.e. answering the crisis line, completing reports in the case management system and/or attending community visits;
- Creates the necessary channels for clear and open communication between employees and management;
- Works closely with YCSS partners and other external partners to support the needs of the youth being served;
- Promotes and complies with various legislation such as Workplace Safety and Health Act, Human Rights Act of Manitoba, Labour Relations Act and any other Act deemed necessary in the day to day functioning of a management role;
- Is aware of the collective agreement and exercises supervisory duties in line with the collective agreement;
- Reports any serious incidents to the Director of Community Services and/or those on call

Clinical Responsibilities:

- Oversees and reviews MCT clinicians day to day work;
- Ensures that calls are triaged based on priority and operational capacity;
- Assumes direct clinical supervision for Intake and Mobile Crisis Teams, ensuring sound clinical decision-making and calling on the Director of Community Services as needed;
- Acts as a clinical resource for both the Intake Clinicians and Mobile Crisis Teams, providing information, suggestions and feedback for clinical performance as well as documentation;
- Ensures compliance, accuracy and quality of clinical documentation during shifts;
- Ensures the effective flow of referrals and communication between the Mobile Crisis Team clinicians, Clinical Follow Up Facilitators and Brief Treatment Therapists and other programs and services offered by The Link;
- Provides on-call support to Mobile Crisis Team Clinicians as required;
- Other duties as assigned or assumed to meet the needs of the agency.

Operational Requirements:

- Ensures that shift change occurs with limited disruption to service delivery;
- Identifies gaps in service delivery, reporting them to the Director of Community Services and participates in implementing solutions;
- Ensures that clinicians respond to requests from the community in a timely manner;
- Ensures that any interruptions to operations are addressed in a timely manner;
- Holds regular staff meetings and provides minutes of meetings;
- Ensures vehicles are safe and well maintained.
- Undergraduate degree in Human Services or accreditation from a governing Human Services College (e.g., RSW), a combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Minimum of five (5) years' work experience in a supervised clinical setting.
- Supervisor experience is preferred
- Experience working within a unionized environment is preferred
- Emergency First Aid and CPR Level C, or willingness to obtain.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search, a clear Child Abuse Registry check with acceptable Prior Contact checks and a clear Adult Abuse Registry check, all done within the last 3 months.
- ASIST Certificate (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training).
- Crisis De-escalation Training.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driver’s abstract.
- Knowledge of Indigenous customs, traditions, and beliefs will be considered an asset.
