A large and complex organization, eHealth is comprised of 30+ clinical and non-clinical program (service) areas that all work together to support health care providers and teams across the province in delivering the best possible care to patients, providers, citizens, and health system users. Programs range from primary care to acute care, and includes laboratories, pharmaceuticals and diagnostics. Additional programs that also support patient care and information, include Virtual Care, the MySaskHealthRecord, and the Provincial Electronic Health Record. eHealth is also responsible for the administration of various pieces of legislation to manage the registration of/changes to all vital event records (e.g. birth, marriage, death, etc.), registration of legal name changes, registration of adoptions, and for maintaining the provincial health registry for health services eligibility and distribution of health services cards.

The eHealth teams engage directly with health system partners and other stakeholders both provincially and federally to ensure all services are delivered efficiently and effectively.

**About the Role**
Reporting to the Manager, Budget and Finance, eHealth Saskatchewan is seeking an individual with strong financial and accounting abilities. The main responsibilities of Team Lead, Accounting Services will be managing the workload of the accounting services team, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable ensuring that payments are made according to payment terms and against approved contracts. This position is also responsible as the main backup to our payroll department, ensuring data files are complete and ensuring staff are paid accurately. This position will also work closely with the Manager, Contracts and Procurement, as it relates to contract management and payment terms as well as the purchase order process.

**Typical Daily Duties**:

- Organizing the work within the Accounting Service Analysts (ASA) to ensure timely recording into the financial system
- Delegates tasks and sets deadlines
- Responsible to train and mentor new associates on procedures, practices and policies, and ensure compliance of internal controls within entire team
- Initiates new accounting procedures and practices to improve the efficiency of the ASA team.
- Provides customer support by responding to a variety of inquiries from employees, consultants, vendors, government agencies and providers of health services.

**What we are looking for**
- Requires knowledge of financial accounting and financial management practices
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
- Strong financial, analytical and problem solving skills

The knowledge and skills required for this position will be attained through the completion of a post-secondary University Degree with a focus on Accounting or working towards a designation in accounting. In addition the successful applicant will bring at least three years of experience leading an accounting team. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
