**LOCATION**:Hybrid role based in Guelph, Ontario

**SUMMARY**:
The Network Analyst, reporting into the Director, IT Operations, is responsible for maintaining, researching, designing, developing, and evaluating network systems and the related infrastructure. In addition, the Network Analyst will provide technical support for all the components of Gateway’s system including hardware and software.

**HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT/KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Analyze network requirements for new and existing network installations/upgrades.
- Setup and maintain WAN and LAN networks across multiple locations.
- Configure network hardware and software for optimal network communication.
- Work remotely and in person with partners and vendors on site performing installations in different time zones.
- Configure and install various network devices and services based on sites’ requirements (e.g. switches, firewalls, wireless devices, load balancers, VPN, QoS).
- Perform maintenance and system upgrades including firmware, patches, hot-fixes, and security configurations during off-hours.
- Monitor performance and ensure system high availability and reliability.
- Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.
- Provide Level 1,2,3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
- Responsible for working on and leading on-prem & cloud network incidents and tasks.
- Implement hands-on technical solutions internally and through service providers elsewhere.
- Responsible for overall management of networking tools. This includes resolving issues with network devices, firewalls, and reports.
- Call out incidents as required and keep management advised of status on major incidents.
- Participate or lead troubleshooting sophisticated network problems. This involves working closely with business units, other infrastructure teams and external vendors.
- Partner with the IT security group to ensure compliance with IT security standards.
- Perform other duties as required.

**WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology supplemented by a CCNA certification (or equivalent).
- Two years of hands-on experience in troubleshooting and deployment in on-perm and cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience crafting, deploying, and managing large complex network environments.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools.
- Technical experience in the following areas: virtualization, network architecture, network security (NSG)
- Good working knowledge of WAN technologies such as BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, MPLS, SDWAN.
- Understanding of security system configuration and policies.
- Ability to configure Border Gateway Protocol on various routers.
- Firewalls and security knowledge.
- Ability to execute systems and services implementation and upgrades including wireless implementation with Unifi systems and Wi-Fi Controllers.
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail with an eye for accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Technical design and documentation skills.
- The ability to quickly learn modern technologies on the fly in a dynamic environment.

**WORKING CONDITIONS**:

- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Working outside regular business hours (after hours on-call support rotation).
