Program Quality Specialist

**Position Summary**:
The Program Quality Specialist is responsible for oversight and implementation of the Quality System across all Sunrise Poultry processing facilities.
**POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Project management - balance the implementation of processes with understanding of the sequences of events for best outcome.
- Document control - exceptional organizational skills for maintaining and archiving records.
- Food processing acumen - understand how processes can be taken apart and put back together, understand how each process step influences and impacts other steps.
- HACCP and Quality Program - recognize quality as something that requires continuous scrutiny, know how to evaluate, and monitor quality to keep pace with industry standards.
- Root Cause Analysis - merging systems will require critical thinking to understand why a step may work in one process but not another; subsequent solution will need to address these hurdles and morph into a single process that is sustainable and delivers the results required.
- Demonstrate strong skills in the ability to review and audit internal processes.
- Collection and assessment of data to present findings and outcomes to cross-functional teams.
- Regular review and reassessment of existing programs to ensure the needs for the programs are being met both internally and as per industry standards.
- Act as back up to other Quality Specialist team members.
- High level cross-functional business unit involvement with Quality Assurance, Product Development, Supply Chain, Production.
**REQUIRED SKILL, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Minimum BSc Degree required.
- 5 years of experience working in the food industry, preferably meat/protein industry.
- Proficiency and strong competency in English, both written and verbal abilities.
- Proficiency with Visio software.
- Advanced experience with Excel in the creation of charts, demonstration of trends, etc.
- Experience with the use of SharePoint.
- Supplier Management experience is an asset.
- Regulatory Affairs experience is an asset.
