Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will draw on your proven experience CPG consumer packaged goods artwork (product labels design and production) and assist the Marketing team in all aspects of artwork development.

**WHERE YOU WILL SPEND YOUR TIME**
- Using graphic techniques to develop the layout and production design:

- New or make updates to food packaging labels,
- logo’s
- web banners
- marketing POP (sell sheets, displayers, catalogues),
- trade advertisements
- miscellaneous internal templates
- Create visual concepts, using computer software or by hand, to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, and captivate.
- Prepares final layout by marking and pasting up finished copy and art.
- Review final productions for errors and ensure that final prints reflect project specifications.
- Participate in meetings with Sales and Marketing to plan and execute Marketing projects.
- Proposing creative concepts to internal leadership team.
- Understanding project requirements and timelines
- Collaborate and brainstorm with the Marketing team
- Perform other duties as required by the Marketing Manager

**WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU**

- Post-Secondary Education or College Diploma in Graphic Design.
- 5+ years of proven work experience as a Production Artist, Graphic Designer required.
- Experience within Food products and knowledge of CFIA requirements
- Strong working knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite: advanced knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
- A strong knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, brand development and creative process
- Comfortable preparing production ready files for print and web.
- Can easily work with specifications as outlined.
- Have experience collaborating with cross functional teams.
- Ability to work well under pressure, handle multiple assignments
- Work efficiently to meet tight deadlines and hold flexible schedule
- Strong communication skills, professionalism, and positive attitude.
- Accuracy with attention to details.
- Food enthusiast considered an asset.
- Ability to problem solve and trouble shoot independently.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of the French language considered an asset

**WHERE YOU ARE PROFICIENT**
- Solid working knowledge and ability to navigate a PC windows environment, including shared drives.
- Strong skills and experience with design software and graphics editing software such as InDesign, Illustrator, InVision, Photoshop and other design tools.
- Knowledge of design techniques such as Prototyping.
- Strong skills and ability to easily navigate the internet/intranet environment.
- Ability to learn new software quickly and willingness to continuously develop technology skills.
