**Position Summary**

Reporting to the CFO, the Office and Accounting Administrator works closely with other office staff and is 5Blue's first point of contact with Customers, Vendors, and other visitors - whether in person, by phone, or virtually.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

The role of the **Office and Accounting Administrator **encompasses many activities including:

- Present a positive first impression when greeting and assisting Customers, Vendors, and other Visitors,
- Customer Invoice processing, project invoice status tracking, invoice collection, and record-keeping,
- Assist Finance with various account reconciliation, and journal entry preparation activities,
- Support Payroll with timecard entry and tracking,
- Manage various suppliers to the office,
- Support various project administration activities - including completion of client prequel documents, international project execution requirements (logistics/shipping document preparation),
- Various other assigned duties.

**Position Requirements and Qualifications**

The role of the **Office and Accounting Administrator **requirements and qualifications include:

- College Diploma or University degree,
- Minimum 1-2 years experience with Accounting administration, Accounts Payable/ Accounts Receivable (Invoice preparation), preferably in a project-based environment,
- Solid understanding of accounting concepts - account reconciliations, Journal entry

preparation,
- Proficient computer skills, working knowledge of Excel, and Word is a must, while working with GP would be a definite asset,
- Working with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail is required,
- Ability to work well, under pressure, independently, while, completing timeline-sensitive deliverables, and multitasking/prioritizing a variety of responsibilities,
- Willingness to learn new, and varied skills is an asset as 5Blue is a perpetual learning organization.

**Communication**

Interacts in a respectful and cooperative manner with customers, vendors, inspectors, sub contractors, and all co-workers. Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.

Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully, and when to maintain confidentiality of information that comes to their attention.

**Physical Requirements**

Sitting for long periods at a time focused on a computer screen. Must be able to lift 20 lbs.

**Travel Requirements**

Minimal travel between shops may be required - a valid driver's license would be a benefit

**Working Environment**

Works in a controlled office environment - in the high visibility main reception area in Shop #2 located at 706 25th Ave Nisku, AB.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year

**Experience**:

- Accounts payable: 2 years (preferred)
- Reception: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 5 Drivers License (preferred)
