Our Family Practice Medical office has **two immediate full time positions available for a Medical Office Assistant**.

**Administrative Duties**:

- scheduling and coordinating appointments for patients
- accurately billing and collecting payment for private services
- exam room maintenance (stock replenishment, clean-up, etc.)
- providing quality customer service
- process incoming/outgoing mail
- EMR scanning - uploading/attaching of reports to patient files
- faxing patient referrals/diagnostic testing requests

**Clinical Duties**:

- performing urinalysis screen/pregnancy tests
- escorting patients to exam rooms
- obtaining patient's height/weight/waist measurements
- baby checkups - obtaining measurements and vitals, vaccine preparation
- visual field tests
- preparing exam room and patient for various appointments (pap smears, complete physicals, etc.)
- prepare, label, and send-out patient specimens for testing

**Requirements and Qualifications**:

- **Medical Office Assistant diploma/certificate with a minimum of one year experience preferred**:

- **EMR experience required, preferably MedAccess**:

- ability to take initiative and to exercise sound judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving expertise
- detail-oriented, ability to remain calm in busy/stressful situations
- excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- skill in developing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff, patients
- knowledge of health administrative practices and ability to adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and systems
- excellent computer skills with knowledge of Word, Excel & EMR (MedAccess an asset)
- strong organization skills and ability to prioritize
- ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately
- Korean fluency is an asset but not required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

**Salary**: $17.00-$20.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:
