- Novus is currently seeking a Junior Network Administrator to join our dynamic team. In this role you will be an integral part of a cutting - edge VoIP, Internet, and TV technology company, immersed in a fast passed environment with exposure to a diverse range of experiences across various technologies. Our telecom environment provides employees with top - notch workmanship experiences and exciting technology involvements.

**Responsibilities**:

- Configuration, documentation, maintenance and troubleshooting of IP layer 2 and 3 networks
- 1st, 2nd and 3rd level network support for IP networks
- Commercial services deployment and support
- IPTV deployment, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting
- Call Centre and Installer escalations
- Maintain internal office network and services
- Linux servers and services configuration, deployment and monitoring
- Testing and deployment of new network access and CPE technologies
- On-call/Stand-by duty and scheduled out of business hours maintenance work

**Required Skills and Experience**:

- Technical diploma, or certificate in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent
- CCNA or equivalent networking knowledge
- Knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol, specifically relating to the routing of IP packets (OSPF, ISIS, BGP, MPLS, MPLS VPN, and Multicasting)
- Knowledge of layer2 network QoS and Multicast deployment.
- Knowledge with Network Monitoring software and solutions
- Working understanding of core technologies of Windows and Linux
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Experience working on simultaneous projects spanning different domains
- Class 5 Drivers License and vehicle
- Knowledge of scripting language - Bash,Python
- Remote management protocol - NetConf,RESTConf, SNMP

**Assets**:

- Familiar with BIND, DHCP, Apache services
- Familiar with Internet streaming and encoding technologies
- Experience with Wifi Technologies
- Experience in Linux server and services deployments
- Familiar with GPON, G. fast and G.hn technologies
