**JOB SUMMARY**

Reporting to the Director of Distribution and Logistics Operations, the Logistics Coordinator (Ground Transport) is primarily responsible for distribution in the United States and Canada via road transport between our 15 3PL warehouses and our Laval warehouse.

**RESPONSABILITIES**

**Transport Request Management**:

- To Process transport requests (quotations, orders and transfers).
- To Prepare Customs documentation, ensuring that everything is in order for the shipment to clear Customs.
- To keep up to date and stay abreast of the latest developments between Canadian and U.S. Customs.
- To book prepaid shipments and to contact carriers for Collect orders.
- To find carriers, to ship, track and return merchandise to and from trade shows.

**Transport assessment, booking and coordination**:

- To estimate order cubage to determine the linear footage required for shipping.
- To send high-cube requests to shipping.
- To book carriers when merchandise is ready for shipment.
- To create and send BOLs to warehouses.
- To track deliveries in progress and to follow up with customer service on problem deliveries.
- To coordinate communications between Customer Service, Shipping and carriers.

**Carrier negotiation and management**:

- To find and negotiate the best rates for customer orders delivery (LTL and FTL).
- To manage price lists and qualify carriers.
- To check shipment freight invoices and to resolve billing issues.

**REQUIREMENTS, QUALITIES AND SKILLS**:

- AEC in transport logistics;
- 5 years' experience in High-Volume Freight Logistics; Knowledge of Freight Logistics, Customs and Warehousing.
- Thoroughness and attention to details.
- Organizational skills, ability to manage priorities and emergencies.
- Efficiency and speed of execution.
- Proactivity and initiative.
- Numeracy abilities.
- Proven problem-solving skills.
- Teamwork and collaboration.
- Communication and negotiation skills.
- Spoken and written languages: English and French (high-level).
- Computer skills: Excel, Outlook, WMS, TMS.
