SickKids Centre for Community Mental Health (SickKids CCMH) is a community-based children’s mental health centre providing prevention, in-home support, day treatment, outpatient assessment and treatment and residential support to children ages birth to 18. SickKids CCMH is integrated with the Hospital for Sick Children (HSC) inpatient and ambulatory mental health services for children. As a stand-alone community-focused agency SickKids CCMH is working with the Hospital for Sick Children to create pathways to care that will ensure that children with mental health concerns and mental illness and their families are able to access the care they need in a timely fashion. SickKids CCMH is an accredited teaching facility affiliated with the University of Toronto.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Data migration, archiving, and other activities for EHR implementation project**
- Collaborate with the vendor, project manager, clinical and technical team members, and other stakeholders to understand the data migration and archiving requirements and objectives
- Conduct data quality assessment and cleansing of the data sources, including Client Information System (CIS), REDCap, and other data sources before migration
- Design and develop data mapping, transformation, validation, and verification rules for the migration process
- Perform data migration testing and troubleshooting to ensure accuracy and completeness of the migrated data
- Document the data migration process and results
- Plan and implement data archiving solutions for the data that will not be migrated to the EHR

**Data analysis and visualization**
- Leverage Oracle SQL and other languages and tools for cleaning, manipulation, and analysis of data
- Create data visualizations in Excel, SharePoint, PowerBI, Oracle Apex, and other tools to communicate complex ideas and identify data points of interest for funders, quality improvement initiatives, service planning, and other activities and needs
- Generate regular and ad-hoc data reports based on the reporting needs of various stakeholders
- Document reporting needs, queries, logic, results, and recommendations for each report

**Database development and maintenance**
- Modify existing databases when user needs and technological capacities change
- Design and develop data models, database architecture, and data repositories on different platforms by collaborating with stakeholders to understand and address their needs
- Work with users to assess system performance and modify systems as needed
- Document queries, code, methodologies, that are used for key and reoccurring metrics

**Database Administration**
- Maintain CIS, EHR and other databases by updating users, assigning programs to staff, validating/checking data, making corrections and liaising with staff on data requirements
- Provide technical support and training to end-users on the new EHR system, the CIS system, and any other database or data system that may be in use

**Technical Support and Coordination**
- Document interactions in service tickets related to user support requests

**Other**
- Ensure compliance with data security and privacy policies and regulations
- Complies with the organization’s vision, policies and procedures
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of information technology trends and services within the industry
- Performs other tasks as assigned by management

**Effort**
- Concentration and creativity required daily to write and adjust code, work with client data, cross-reference data, update systems, prepare reports and visualizations, etc.
- Sit for long period of time to perform the duties of the job, as well as stand, walk and crouch to use/troubleshoot office equipment

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary Degree (Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field)
- A minimum of one years’ related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Oracle SQL and other analytical programming languages
- Proficiency in managing Oracle and other relational databases
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 data solutions such as PowerBI, SharePoint, Excel
- Proficiency in other database systems or platforms
- Ability to incorporate values of a culturally competent practice of diversity and inclusiveness in all aspects of work

**Working Conditions**:

- Works in pleasant office environment, including meeting rooms
- Exposure to constant interruptions/distractions, deadlines, lack of privacy, noise and stress
- Some exposure to hazards such as muscle strain from lifting
