**Position**:Lead, Social Media (Bilingual)

**Reporting to**:Senior Manager, Communications and Media

**About You**:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge experience in communications, marketing, e-commerce or related field.
- Experience deploying strategies and best practices to optimize social media platform engagement
- Advanced to native French proficiency

**Your Impact**:
Reporting into the **Senior Manager, Communications and Media, **the _Lead, Social Media_ orchestrates and optimizes the digital experience of followers, partners, supporters, and event attendees. Other portfolio items include developing impactful storytelling assets and weaving marketing and communications tactics into platform-specific strategies to grow our digital reach and credibility.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Social Strategy and Community Building (60%)**
- In close collaboration with the Senior Manager, Communications & Media, create and execute a digital content strategy to increase brand awareness and engagement, specifically expanding and building out a digital community to engage and educate both youth and supporters to meet our strategic goals
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure brand consistency across all platforms
- Engage with followers, respond to comments and messages in a timely manner
- Support the Marketing team members on the delivery of successful multi-channel campaigns, specifically targeted social media ad campaigns and A/B testing for Social Ads
- Work with the Development team to promote its goals and opportunities and recognize supporters.
- Identify, evaluate and engage with potential influencers and partners. Build and steward relationships with guest contributors, influencers and artists involved in engagement initiatives
- Work with the Programs and Development team to identify opportunities for partnership and collaboration with external groups
- Make good use of available martech, suggest strategic updates to existing tools, etc.
- Work closely with the creative team, develop creative briefs and guide creative direction to meet objectives for all advertising and public-facing communications, including print, digital, and video assets

**Community Insight (25%)**
- Track social media, engagement platforms and market insights to inform the nature, format, frequency and goals of digital engagement initiatives and day-to-day execution
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative digital community pulse-checks on a monthly or as-needed basis
- Monitor trends and identify opportunities to elevate youth voices, empower current and would-be changemakers and educate youth
- Support with the collection and analyzing of audience feedback and campaign performance metrics
- Provide quarterly reports of industry and broader social media trends, social listening and changes in community makeup and behaviour. Reporting must highlight both opportunities, and risks and make recommendations for enhancing and improving campaigns, communication strategies and practices
- Build out knowledge and insights for specific target personas including youth and supporters/donors, from social platforms as well as audience insight tools, particularly as they may differ across platforms, age or other demographics and provide actionable recommendations for each persona

**Process Development (15%)**
- Oversee all aspects of production, translation and scheduling for digital community content
- When required, liaise with external vendors and oversee their output, invoice filing, etc.
- Ensure the consistency and collective effectiveness of simultaneous promotional activities and proactively raise issues where multiple activities could harm effectiveness of campaigns
