**Velocity Group** offers a broad scope of Surveying and Civil Engineering services from our offices across Alberta. From the Peace Country to the Southern Foothills and all points in between we offer services to nearly all sectors of the industry.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

- Supervise a crew which conducts field surveys
- Communicates effectively with project manager, client and other stakeholders
- Provides comprehensive survey notes/sketches, computations and data in support of field surveys.
- Trains and coaches survey crew members and holds members accountable for performance which meets company standards.
- Monitors each project from start to completion.
- Performs all supervisory health and safety duties as identified in the company’s safety procedures.
- Equipment maintenance, control, repair and inventory accountability.
- Knowledge of GPS, Total Stations and Data Collectors.
- Reviews and Interprets reference drawings and data

Qualifications:

- A graduate survey technologist
- Two or more years of work experience
- Willingness to work away from home for extended periods as required.
- **Experience in plant site construction**
- Valid safety certificates (First Aid, H2S, CSO, ATV, Bear Awareness, Faller certification).
- Compliance with company’s Drug and Alcohol policy
- Experience with processing survey data is an asset
