Elevator Technician Lead

**About the Role: This is a Full-time, hourly position.**

**About The Elevator Technician Lead**

As an Elevator Technician Lead, you will be responsible for removing (as applicable) and installing elevator fixtures and interior finishes. Using hand tools proficiently to secure varied materials such as metal, wood, glass wall panels and ceilings to support the project specifications of MAD customers. You will also be conducting the site survey using the correct tools.

You will also be responsible for leading and ensuring the group onsite completes the task efficiently and makes reports when the issue occurs.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Perform work requiring high degree of general trades knowledge.

2. Develop survey plans, methods and procedures for conducting legal surveys.

3. Record all measurements and other information obtained during survey activities.

4. Work under minimum technical direction from the Field Operations Supervisor.

5. Responsible for supervising and training the junior technician.

6. Consistently exhibit a courteous and professional demeanor/appearance on clients’ facilities.

7. Implement solutions to product problems in the field (excellent trouble shooting skills).

8. Prevent damage during installation where mistakes can be very costly.

9. Complete work within expected periods of time.

10. Work safely per internal and customers' safe operating practices and instructions.

11. Maintain truck interior and exterior, and carries appropriate tools and general-purpose stock.

12. Complete installation records accurately, completely and on time.

13. Perform other work as assigned.

14. Excellent communication skills.

15. Able to lift up to 50lbs (assisted if needed); may work in hot areas 5%, noise 0%.

16. Ensure adherence to Health and Safety as well as active participation in 5S activities in work area.

**Attributes, Skills and Knowledge**:

- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- EDM “D” License certification is a must
- Working at heights certification is a must
- Expert level with hand and power tools, measuring devices, and appropriate safety gear
- At least 3 years of experience successfully installing elevator interiors or finishes
- Experience conducting site survey a strong asset
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driver's record required
- Able to lift up to 50lbs (assisted if needed)
- A clear background check for criminal and/or credit is required

**This position works out of our Ottawa, Ontario location. Hours are typically 6:00am to 2:30pm.**
