As a Corporate Cost Analyst, you will provide financial and analytical support to the Accounting management team and other internal/external Honda customers. You will provide clarity of the operational impact for expense and balance sheet activity which will assist in delivering HCM’s objectives. To do this job well, we’d like you to be well-versed in data and financial analysis, and have strong attention to detail and customer service focus; ultimately, your job will be an integral part of our efforts to ensure profitability and business success.

**Salary Range: $69,283.00-$81,510.00 annually**

**Responsibilities**:

- Calculate, analyze and reporting corporate costs, variances, and cost per unit for Corporate Quality, Cost, and Delivery reporting
- Support coordination of Corporate Budget and long-term planning preparation and cost analysis
- Assist with internal and external reporting on a periodic basis
- Maintenance and management of budgeting system in SAP
- Prepare journal entries to support month-end and year end close activities
- Management and associate support for ad hoc cost analysis, as well as system’s support
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, GAAP, SOX and HCM accounting guidelines, governance, and policies

**Requirements**:

- Completed Post-Secondary education in Business, Accounting or Economics or related work experience
- Demonstrated cost management experience
- Experience using SAP or comparable ERP Financial System
- High level proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint)

**Preferred Experience**:

- Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Analytical and problem-solving experience
- Demonstrated data mining and analytical skills, used to identify inconsistencies, future risk, and propose solutions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Continuous improvement mindset - persistence, creativity, and passion

**Job Related Must Haves**:

- Willing to work overtime as required, sometimes on short notice
- Willing to work scheduled shutdowns as required
- Willing to modify pre-booked vacations if required

**Additional Information**:
HCM provides a competitive salary structure and starting wage based on previous, related experience. Additionally, HCM provides weekly, monthly, and annual attendance bonuses, equaling a potential additional $1.40 per hour; a Team Achievement Bonus paid two times per year; an industry leading Defined Contribution (DC) pension that includes company contributions and company matching; and a comprehensive benefit plan that provides choice and flexibility with the cost subsidized by company contributions. HCM also provides shift premiums paid at 5% per hour up to $1.70 for afternoon shift, and 10% per hour up to $3.40 for the overnight shift.
