Program Coordinator: Career Connections

**Required Education/Credentials**
A bachelor's degree, college diploma, or post-grad certificate in employment counselling/career development, or in a related field, such as human resources, psychology, education or social services.
**Required Skills**:
- Experience with counselling or coaching individuals on topics related to employment or career exploration.
- Experience in recruitment, screening, onboarding of mentors, speakers, or other types of volunteers.
- Ability to coordinate the moving pieces of a new initiative while working within specific guidelines for the service delivery model.
- Must possess the confidence to conduct outreach via phone, social media, video meetings, etc.
- Ability to represent the organization with professionalism at all times.
- Experience working with community partners to accomplish a shared vision.
**Specific Responsibilities**
- Prepare contracts and agreements, arranging signing, saving to files.
- Obtain quotes for venues, services, materials, as required for program or events.
- Serve as a local (Waterloo/Wellington/Dufferin) representative of the program, attending networking meetings and events.
- Serving as a point person for teachers, youth, parents, professionals inquiring about different aspects of the program.
- Monitor the program’s targets and achievements month to month.
- Initiate recruitment, screening and onboarding of career mentors and speakers.
- Create, edit, formalize job descriptions for program staff, mentors, etc.
- Support special event planning, invites, RSVP tracking.
- Conduct research to support program development.
- Manage youth intake and related data.
- Help prepare promotional materials to ensure success of the program.
- Assist with gathering of program updates for the monthly ED & Program Report.
- Create recognition certificates for mentors, students, partners.
- Support the team, students and overall goals of the program at identified conferences - both virtual and face to face.
- Record minutes and action items at program related meetings.
**Details**
This is a hybrid position. Working initially out of your home office, with increasing travel within the region to meet program deliverables. May require working at designated office locations throughout the region.
You will collaborate with teammates and attend virtual meetings regularly using Zoom, Microsoft Teams.
You will be required to travel extensively within the regions of Guelph/Wellington/Dufferin. Further travel could be required, on occasion.
Additional travel may be required.
This is a fixed-term position starting 06-Jan-24 (could be sooner).
Expected work hours are typically scheduled between 8:00am and 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.
