**POSITION**: Program Coordinator

**PROGRAM SUMMARY**:
The Lifeline program helps seniors prolong their independence by connecting them to an easy-to-use personal response service that ensures quick emergency assistance at any time.

The Lifeline Coordinator is responsible for the effective delivery of the Lifeline Program. The Lifeline coordinator will attend the client in their home environment and conduct client intake, installation and maintenance of all SCSA Lifeline machines. Also responsible for maintaining program related computer databases and financial tracking. This job does not have scheduled hours, the coordinator responds to requests and works approximately 7 hours a week.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Oversees the day-to-day operations of the Lifeline program.
- Conducts client intake; explains program, identifies needs, and obtains all required documentation.
- Responds to client questions and concerns.
- Maintains Lifeline machines including battery changes and equipment reprogramming.
- Maintains client files and maintenance records according to standards.
- Maintains financial tracking and computer databases, prepares client invoices.
- Creates forms and contracts, which meet current documentation requirements.
- Maintains inventory levels; orders new stock, tracks stock levels.
- Promotes Lifeline program throughout community to increase community awareness.
- Assists administrative personnel in ensuring all billing is current and accurate.
- Works with SCSA administration staff on budgeting and other administration.
- Provides monthly program updates to Board
- Creates annual report for the AGM.
- Performs other related duties, as required.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
Education
- Two years experience in a similar position or a combination of relevant training and experience. Experience working with seniors and technical equipment an asset.
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel essential.

Knowledge and Experience
- Maintains current certification in Occupational First Aid and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention.
- Experience working with individuals, families and communities.
- Experience in community mobilization and public education.

Skills and Abilities
- Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking.
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
- Basic Level 1 technical skills
- Willingness to work collaboratively and build strong working partnerships.
- Ability to provide reliable vehicle.
- Self directed and works well independently and as part of a team.
- Motivated, well organized and detail orientated person with the ability to prioritize.
- Demonstrated ability to interact positively with SCSA board, staff, clients and the public in person and over the telephone.

Working Conditions
- As the program demands; work on weekends at the discretion of employee
- Work requires moderate level of physical effort and/or dexterity, e.g. using or moving medium weight (5 - 10 kg.) equipment or materials, reaching overhead, bending/stooping, lifting, working from ladders etc.
