Levitt-Safety has an exciting opportunity for an experienced technician to join our team as a Fire & Life Service Supervisor in Sudbury.

Main Responsibilities/Duties
As a working Supervisor in addition to their technician duties, this position will also be responsible for:

- Providing and supporting Health and Safety initiatives and mentoring of the Fire Life service and shop technicians.
- Ensure safe work practices are always carried out in compliance with manufacturers’ guidelines, legislation, and company policies and is seen as key safety resource for the service operation.
- QA/QC aspect would primarily involve inspecting, auditing and ensuring work meets manufacturer and customer standards. Ensures that the standards are communicated internally and follows through with management that the implementation is carried out.
- Ensure technicians' certifications and site-specific training for various customers in our service area, are kept up to date.
- Manage the rentals and future Fire life-saving service work, excluding vehicle fire suppression.
- Control and manage tools and parts inventory in conjunction with the service coordinators.
- In conjunction with the team, manage a fleet of service trucks, including regularly required maintenance, recalls, and other issues that may arise.
- Work with Service coordinators on quotes.
- Health and safety leadership, run weekly/Monthly toolbox safety meetings, record keeping.
- Ensuring all paperwork is accurate and submitted efficiently. Work closely with the Branch Manager and service coordinators to ensure all calls scheduled for a given month are completed through effective scheduling.
- Help to resolve employee issues and disputes and increase morale.
- Assist the Branch Manager with recruitment of the fire and life team.
- Responsible for safe use and proper care of company equipment including service vehicles, testers, tools etc.
- Promoting Levitt-Safety Service as a market leader by openly communicating with customers and the team.
- Champion for Health & Safety compliance within your team including, Hazzard Assessments and Incident Investigations.
- Other duties as required.

**Skills**:

- Previous experience in the fire safety industry a must.
- Prior team lead and supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain customer relationships.
- Willingness to travel extensively year-round to remote locations.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
- System savvy and comfortable working with various computer tools.

Choose the Safe Way, Always
The role will require frequent travel to customer sites which means a variety of environmental factors both while traveling and at the customer site. This will include meeting site safety requirements including drug and alcohol testing, WHMIS, TDG, Working at Heights, Mining Common Core (or equivalent) etc. depending on the customer. Adhering to safe work practices is a must as well as leading by example and coaching and mentoring team members to also choose the safe way always.
Must be able to perform all aspects of a field technician including:

- Working from heights on equipment
- Comfortable working in restricted workspaces
- Driving, sitting, and standing for extended periods of time
- Have the ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs unassisted
- Have the ability to travel overnight and for extended periods of stay
