Team Leader, Investigations

**What is the opportunity?**

This role will manage a team responsible for the end-to-end investigation and resolution of client and internal general ledger adjustments processed as a result of Image Capture Processing. This role will be responsible for ensuring all team activities/volumes are completed on time and within SLA. Also, per quality thresholds to minimize the risk of financial loss and negative client impact.

**What will you do?**
- Provides leadership to the team ensuring consistent service within established SLA’s, ensuring any items intended for clearing and settlement to other FI’s are processed in a timely manner, minimizing financial risk contributing to achievement of Client Service Commitments (CSC’s), investigating root cause of adjustments and identifying the appropriate resolving actions.
- Effectively finding efficiencies within our team, as skillset and confidence grow with great coaching routines.
- Encourages the team to take ownership of client situations, building ownership and accountability at first point of contact. Refers to manager where required
- Ensure full compliance to all controls, both regulatory and internal, including RBC policies and processes and the Canadian Payments Association (CPA) clearing rules.
- Adopts a continuous improvement mindset by proactively identifying and recommending solutions to recurring errors, service gaps and process items ensuring efficiency and effectiveness and enhancements. Exercises due diligence in following operational risk policies, procedures, standards and guidelines.
- You are a role model, champion and coach for your peers/direct reports demonstrating components of the leadership model.

**What do you need to succeed?**

**Must Have**
- In depth knowledge of CPA rules and regulations
- Knowledge of Global Information Risk Management framework and Global Compliance mandated policies and procedures.
- Exercises due diligence in following operational risk policies, procedures, standards and guidelines, mitigation of operational, financial and reputational risk
- Strong organizational and Decision-making skills
- Challenges status Quo and responds with innovative solutions

**Nice-to-have**
- Knowledge or Technical aptitude and system documentation Proficiency
- Previous Management experience
- Expense Management
- Resource planning and succession plan
