Personal Care Assistant/ Homecare

**About us**

**This is a home managed position in the individuals own apartment.**

**Duties**:

- Assist with personal care to a young man, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assist with oral medication administration and ensure adherence to prescribed medication schedule
- Prepare meals and light housekeeping duties
- Promote positive interactions
- Support individual in daily activities such as socializing, recreational activities, and exercise. Transport to activities.
- Collaborate with other attendants, to ensure the well-being of the young man
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any observed changes in behavior or health.

Qualifications:

- Experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is preferred
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with mínimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with individual, his family and other employees
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when providing care

Please note that this position will require references.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.05-$17.73 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 32 per week

- Evening shift
- Weekends as needed
