Magil Construction in London, ON is searching for their next employee to join our Finance team
- This is an in-person full time role working out of the London office._

**ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

▪ Processing of vendor invoices

▪ Maintain accurate and organized records of all accounts payable transactions.

▪ Match commitments, purchase orders, receipts, and AP invoices to ensure correct billing and per company policies.

▪ Support client invoicing processing.

▪ Communication with project management, vendors, and clients regarding payment inquiries.

▪ Assist with maintaining other financial records, performing account reconciliations, and conducting internal audits.

▪ Assist with end-of-month and year-end closing procedures. ▪ Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.

▪ Process transactions and update ledgers, budgets, etc.

▪ Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office.

▪ Learn how to work as part of an accounting team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the company or clients.

▪ Take on additional tasks or projects to learn more about the accounting and office operations.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS**

▪ Experience with full cycle accounting and month end closings.

▪ Construction background or project accounting experience.

▪ Excellent attention to details and accuracy in handling financial information.

▪ Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.

▪ Good communication and interpersonal skills.

▪ Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.

▪ Strong skill set in Excel.
