**One-For-All Summer Day Camp Volunteer**

The Paralympic Sports Association (PSA) is an inclusive organization dedicated to enhancing the well-being of individuals with disabilities and their support networks, through adaptive recreational and sporting activities.

Volunteering is a great way to get involved in your community and have some FUN Other benefits include gaining valuable training and experience working with persons with disabilities, developing leadership skills, trying something new, making friends, and being a part of positive change in the community. Not to mention you can get outside and get active this summer while giving back

PSA’s one-for-all day camps (teen/adult and kids weeks) are where individual differences, skills, and abilities are celebrated. Our specialized staff and programming ensure individual needs are met, and that every day is filled with sun, fun, and friendship. Each camp will feature adaptive sport, arts and crafts, games, and more

As a volunteer you will aid in the delivery of various activities and interact with participants.

One-For-All Summer Day Camp Schedule:

- Teen/Young Adult Camp #1: July 2-5, 2024 at 9am-4pm at the Woodcroft Community League (13915 115 Ave NW, Edmonton)
- Teen/Young Adult Camp #2: July 22-26, 2024 at 9am-4pm at the Woodcroft Community League (13915 115 Ave NW, Edmonton)
- Teen/Young Adult Camp #3: August 12-15, 2024 at 9am-4pm at the Woodcroft Community League (13915 115 Ave NW, Edmonton)
- Sledge Hockey Intensive: August 16-18, 2024 at the Meadows Recreation Centre (2704 17 St NW, Edmonton)

*Note: preference will be given to those who are available for all weeks of summer camp

**Qualifications**:

- No previous experience working with individuals who have disabilities is required.
- Ability to work days/full weeks of Camp.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from Camps.
- Must complete training provided by the organization.
- Must complete a Police Vulnerable Sector Check.

**Responsibilities**:

- Help with the set up of games, activities, and/or crafts (setting up equipment, tables, outside games etc.)
- Help with the clean up of activities (put equipment away, clean up after crafts etc.)
- Take direction from the instructors/leaders of the camp as needed.
- Interact with participants and them feel welcome at program.
- Help explain instructions of participants when necessary.
- Encourage participants to participate in activities in ways that are meaningful and fun for them

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

- Edmonton, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
