**Job Posting**

The Summer Recreation Art Instructor leads art programs in day camps for a variety of age groups. The Instructor designs activities within a planned curriculum. Other responsibilities include: assisting with program promotion, inventory/ cleanup/ storage/ repair/ maintenance of community art equipment and supplies, working with volunteers and providing on-site customer service, developing an arts module for training and instructional purposes, researching new trends and administering/ collecting/ reporting on program evaluations and questionnaires.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**Education and Experience**
- Currently enrolled in High School or University and planning to return in the fall
- Knowledge and understanding of fine arts and crafting
- Assets_
- Experience teaching art
- Previous experience working with persons with disabilities

**Technical / Job Specific Knowledge and Abilities**
- Current certification in Emergency First Aid (CSA Basic) and Level C CPR.
- Successful completion of all training requirements (including High Five and WHMIS).
- Access to a reliable vehicle may be required for some positions.
- Screening through the Child Abuse Registry and a Police Records Check.

**Security Clearance Requirements**: Applicants may be required to complete an employment security screening check.- **COMPETENCIES**: Communication, Customer Service, Organization and Planning, Risk Management, Teamwork and Cooperation, Valuing Diversity, Initiative, Decision Making

**WORK STATUS**: Casual/Seasonal - June 19th 2023- to August 25th 2023

**HOURS OF WORK**: 40 hours a week

**SALARY**: $16.50 per hour (plus 4% vacation pay)

**WORK LOCATION**: Captain William Spry Community Centre, Chocolate Lake Community Centre, Lebrun Community Centre.
