Stratuscent has digitized the sense of smell. We've done for the nose what the camera did for the eyes and the microphone did for the ears. It took six years and some help from NASA, but we did it. Now it's time for us to bring it to the world.

Who you are:
You are a new graduate in chemistry or material sciences and you will be working closely with a team of engineers and scientists for the development of Nano composite chemical sensors. You will have good knowledge in polymer chemistry, organic chemistry and surface chemistry. If you have experience with synthesis and characterization of nanocomposite materials/thin films then it would be an asset. If you would enjoy being part of a team that tackles a range of exciting challenges related to material synthesis, printed electronics and characterization then this could be your dream role.

What you will do:

- Help the senior material scientists with material synthesis process
- Help implement the characterization methods for thin film materials using various characterization tools
- Learn Stratuscent's material printing process and help the senior printing engineers to optimize the process
- Document the lab processes rigorously and diligently.

Requirements:

- A bachelor or master's degree in chemistry/chemical engineering/material science or related field
- Fundamental knowledge in polymer chemistry, organic chemistry and surface chemistry
- Familiar with common lab equipment and instruments and experimental protocols
- Experience in scientific research and laboratory work would be an asset.
- Evaluating and ensuring compliance with laboratory safety procedures and standards.
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to think critically with demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to function in a fast-paced small company environment and ability to adjust workload based upon changing priorities
