Clifton is currently searching for a skilled IT Operations Analyst to join our Calgary office. As part of Clifton’s IT Team, you will join a skilled team which supports the organization’s information technology environment. This role is partially remote and will consist mainly of desktop support but will also include general infrastructure and operations activities. You will support a largely cloud-based infrastructure, as well as an increasingly mobile workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, laptop, mobile devices and peripherals.
- Manage and resolve helpdesk tickets promptly and efficiently.
- Manage software systems such as Microsoft Active Directory, Office 365, and Zoom.
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment and software.
- Document and track issues, resolutions, and follow-up actions.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure seamless IT operations.
- Track and resolve support requests through the corporate IT support system.
- Assist with IT Operations projects, as needed.
- Other duties, as required.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience in desktop support or a similar role.
- Experience with PowerShell and Python an asset.
- A customer-focused attitude with the ability to handle competing priorities and challenging situations professionally.
- Familiarity with network troubleshooting, basic server management, and IT security principles and asset.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience supporting modern operating systems (desktop and mobile).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to travel occasionally within Canada (10%).
- Ability to move a IT equipment weighing up to 20lbs.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
