Are you thinking about advancing your career with one of the most successful logistics organizations worldwide? Here at Kuehne+Nagel, our Montreal site is looking for a new Distribution Site Manager to join our Contract Logistics team.
** Your Role **:As the distribution site manager, you will oversee the entire site operation. You are responsible for providing customer service excellence to our client base via the execution of work processes across the distribution center designed to support efficient, safe and high quality workmanship. You will have the opportunity to use your leadership skills to mentor your team. You will report to the National Director of Contract Logistics and Transportation.
** Your Responsibilities**:

- Lead / participate in customer negotiations
- Ensure proactive approach to relationship management
- Participate in new business implementation project management
- Ensure billing / invoicing accuracy
- Review forecasts monthly reflective of the current and future state of the business, take action to improve negative trends and report deviations to plan
- Full accountability for the performance of direct reports
- Set SMART goals and projects to achieve individual, distribution center, and divisional results
- Support employee engagement/retention initiatives, succession planning, and internal promotions within the distribution site
- Collaborate with Senior Management to ensure efficient, standardized and ‘best in class’ logistics operations
- Promote a culture of safety to ensure all reasonable precautions are taken for the protection of workers
- Plan long range labor requirements based on sales forecasts and input from direct reports
- Comply with all Quality, Health, Safety & Security programs to ensure the safety of all personnel, equipment and property
- Strive for continuous improvements in all facets of warehouse operations

**Your Skills and Experiences**:

- Diploma/Degree in International Business, Transportation, Logistics, Customs or a related field preferred
- 7+ years experience in warehouse leadership and warehouse inventory in a complex 3PL environment
- 7+ years experience in Contract Logistics / 3PL / Distribution Centre / Warehouse environment
- Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety and employment standards legislation, and of common workplace hazards and associated controls (Bill C45)
- Experience in a pharmaceutical distribution center is considered an asset
