**About Us**:
Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital is committed to providing exceptional healthcare services, and we're in search of a dynamic Recreation Therapy Worker to become a valued member of our interdisciplinary team. As a Recreation Therapy Worker, you'll play a vital role in implementing our established Recreation Therapy Program, focusing on geriatric residents and short-stay clients.
**How You Can Make a Difference**:
Working within a client-centered model, you'll assist residents to/from their programs, lead engaging leisure/recreation therapy activities, and facilitate customized group sessions (social, physical, spiritual, etc.), including one-to-one programs. Your keen observations of resident progress and behavior will contribute valuable insights to the Supervisor/Recreation Therapist, influencing positive changes to existing programs.
**Position Details**:
Enjoy the flexibility of a casual position with possible Tuesday through Saturday day shifts from 08:00 to 16:00. Employees in this position are eligible to pursue internal postings for permanent part-time or full-time positions. Many successful career paths within Interior Health have originated from casual on-call positions, evolving into fulfilling regular employment opportunities.

- Grade 12
- Completion of a recognized recreation course(s) plus two year’s recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
