About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Recreation Therapy Worker to join our esteemed Recreation Therapy Department at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital in Trail, BC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement our established Recreation Therapy Program, focusing on geriatric residents and short-stay clients.
  • Create and lead a diverse range of leisure and recreation activities, including arts, crafts, sports, music, cooking, gardening, and exercises, tailored to the needs and interests of our residents.
  • Organize and set up for programs and special events, teaching activity techniques, and overseeing resident participation.
  • Take residents on exciting outings, ensuring they have the necessary clothing and funds, and coordinating with nursing staff and supervisors.
  • Adapt programs to meet the physical, social, cognitive, spiritual, and emotional needs of our residents.

Position Details
