**Salary Range**: $28.34 - $34.71 per hour
**The board may consider applicant experience when determining the starting rate.

**Qualifications**:
**Required**: Honours Bachelor of Interpreting Degree or Diploma in American Sign Language/English Interpretation from an accredited institution. A minimum of six months related work experience. Fluent in American Sign Language and capable of interpreting between spoken and written English and ASL. The board may consider applicants with a combination of education and relevant experience applicable to the position. Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. The ability to work collaboratively with interpreters, teachers, students and other staff. Knowledge of cross-cultural issues of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Reviews and maintains a full range of educational curriculum materials for the purpose of interpretation. Provide student with interpretation in American Sign Language in a variety of educational and social settings such as classroom lectures, field trips, assemblies and elective programs. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Principal, Special Education, in collaboration with the school Principal (student conferencing, researching data, developing information kits). Attendance at meetings outside normal working hours may be required.
**Preferred**: Experience within the Education environment. CASLI (Canadian Association of Sign Language Interpreters) professional association membership preferred.
Participation
in the OMERS Pension Plan is mandatory for all full-time permanent employees,
