The Information Technology Services (ITS) department provides the full spectrum of IT services for both LHSC and St. Joseph’s Health Care London including the support and maintenance of storage, server and end point infrastructure. The department serves over 22,000 staff, affiliates, and volunteers. The supporting infrastructure includes over 1,300 virtual servers and 16,000 computers. It also provides IT thought leadership for our nine regional Hospital Information System (HIS) partners who share a common instance of Cerner Millennium called “OneChart”. The ITS department’s team have an in-depth array of skills and experience that is leveraged to operate the complex infrastructures of the hospitals, all for the betterment of the patients we serve.

**Job Summary**:
**What the Role Is**
Reporting to the Manager, Technology Solutions, the Coordinator, ITS Inventory & Procurement is accountable for providing a focused depth of technical/clinical knowledge, ensuring consistent and effective review, assessment, procurement, delivery and coordinating of refresh cycles of all desktop devices supported across all sites of LHSC and St. Joseph’s Health Care. There are approximately 20,000 devices, consisting of PCs, thin clients, laptops, and peripherals.

This role is accountable for day-to-day department activities, including the management of human and material resources, day-to-day staffing and scheduling, development and support of a healthy workplace, risk and utilization measurements, and facilitation of improvement initiatives and change management, while operating within approved operational budgets and financial guidelines and controls. A major focus of the role is fostering effective working relationships and networks within the team/unit and with other teams across the organization.

**What You Will Bring with You**
- Successful completion of a recognized baccalaureate degree program in a related field (e.g. Computer Science) or a diploma in Computer Systems Technology. Related post-graduate education preferred
- Minimum five (2) years’ experience in progressively more responsible leadership roles in a healthcare environment, preferably in an acute care academic teaching hospital
- Minimum three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in healthcare IT preferred, experience managing IT Desktop Technologies preferred
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
