Summer Day Camp Counsellor

Job Summary:
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Camp Counselors. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a fun and safe environment for children to learn, grow, and make lasting memories. This is a paid position that offers valuable experience in early childhood education and working with children.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supervise and engage with campers during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being
- Plan and lead age-appropriate games, crafts, and educational activities
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment where campers can develop social skills and build friendships
- Provide guidance and support to campers in resolving conflicts or challenges
- Assist with lunch times, ensuring campers are following proper nutrition guidelines
- Collaborate with other camp staff to create a cohesive and enjoyable camp experience
- Maintain accurate records of camper attendance, behaviour, and any incidents that may occur

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working with children in a camp or educational setting is preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices is a plus
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with children, parents, and fellow staff members
- Patience, creativity, and the ability to adapt to different personalities and learning styles
- CPR and First Aid certification is desirable but not required (training can be provided)
- Must be under 30 to apply

**Job Type**: Seasonal
Contract length: 8-10 weeks

Pay: $18.55 per hour

Expected hours: 28 - 35 per week
