**About Our Opportunity**:
Reporting to the Director, Policy, Planning and Accountability, the Business Analyst position is responsible for documenting, designing, recommending and implementing client focused processes and initiatives on behalf of the PSC. The Business Analyst will play a critical role in the continuous improvement efforts of the PSC to support delivery of its programs and services to client Departments. Through an understanding of requirements and client needs, this position is responsible for multiple initiatives impacting the services and procedures to support direct client service delivery. The Business Analyst participates in root cause analysis and makes recommendations for enhancements and/or other appropriate actions to improve performance. Collaboration with departmental program and service delivery staff will be critical to the success of this position.

The Business Analyst must have knowledge and understanding of business analysis processes, methodologies and how to create appropriate documentation supported by research and analysis. The Business Analyst is responsible for the creation and maintenance of procedures, forms, training material, online guides, and standards to support service delivery staff. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executive, managers, program and service delivery staff is required.

**About You**:
Bachelors degree plus 5 years related experience or equivalent combination of training and experience. This position requires knowledge of business analysis, processes and methodologies. Must have the ability to collect, evaluate, simplify, and disseminate data and information from multiple sources, resolve conflicts, and differentiate between actual and required client needs. Knowledge of project management methods.

Knowledge of automation software in Microsoft office (Power Point, Excel, Word, Outlook) and collaboration software to develop business cases, create reports and spreadsheets.Must have excellent judgement, analytical skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The ability to create partnerships and collaborate with colleagues is critical to this position. Facilitation, change management and effective communication skills are required. Must be proactive, a self -starter with initiative with the ability to make sound decisions respecting work priorities.
