Position Information

**Position Title**
- Manager, Campus Health and Wellbeing Services**Position Summary**
- Red Deer Polytechnic is hiring a full-time, permanent Manager for our Campus Health and Wellbeing Services. This role will work within the People and Culture division reporting to the Executive Director and will work as a strategic partner and advisor to the People and Culture division and to the broader Polytechnic community.

- The Manager is responsible for:
- Providing direction and management to promote optimum health and wellbeing by designing and delivering comprehensive and integrated, health and wellness services for the Red Deer Polytechnic community that meet the current and future needs of the Polytechnic and in alignment with the Polytechnic’s strategic plan.
- Leading the employee disability management program including being a liaison with long-term disability providers

You will also:
- Lead and support a small team of nursing staff including an administrative assistant
- Chair the Employee Wellness Working Group committee and lead wellness initiatives across the campus
- Provide urgent medical care and appropriate medical and counselling referrals for students, staff, and faculty

**Required Qualifications**
- Registered Nurse with active CRNA registration
- Certification as an Occupational Health Nurse is required
- A proven record of 7 - 10 years health and wellness experience including a minimum of 5 years of experience in Occupational Health Nursing is required
- Minimum three (3) years progressive management and supervisory experience
- Experience in disability management is required including demonstrated experience holding insurance providers and disability adjudicators accountable for excellent service to ill or injured employees
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience working in Occupational Health in the Post Secondary sector would be an asset
- Experience managing large scale health, and wellness programs and initiatives and projects from conception to implementation is preferred
