Modern Scientist Global (MSG) is a health and life sciences research consulting firm based in Canada. **Job Summary**
MSG is seeking a highly skilled and motivated **Bookkeeper/finance specialist** to join our growing team of Modern Scientists (biostatisticians, epidemiologists, health economists, analysts, researchers). The role will include:
- Compiling documents for tax filing.
- Providing advice on financial planning and how best to budget, and control MSG’s finances.
- Entering data, maintaining databases, and keeping records.
- Managing internal and external correspondence.
- Reporting to management and performing secretarial and administrative duties.
Individuals will be able to work remotely, with regular engagement with the rest of the team at MSG through virtual office hours.
**Qualifications**
The Bookkeeper should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred).
- Experience in filing Canada Revenue Agency business taxes.
- Knowledge of financial planning best practices and considerations.
- Advanced notetaking, recordkeeping, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage internal and external correspondence.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication (oral and written) and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented, a propensity to take initiative and a demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment.
- Excellent teamwork skills and a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with team members and liaise with study investigators.
**Hours**
5-10 hours per week
**Job Type**: Part-time

- Monday to Friday
