**Job Summary**
Community Ventures Society has a very active employment program supporting adults with developmental disabilities find paid work and supporting them to succeed in their jobs.
We have very successful social enterprises including a bath bomb making business (DisDaBomb), a dog walking business and a greeting card business that provide gainful employment and the opportunity to learn new skills.
The Employment Program Coordinator:

- Ensures CVS Enterprises are operated consistent with CVS policies and procedures. The Enterprise Coordinator ensures that all relevant decisions are based on CVS Values, Vision and Mission.
- Supports the people we serve as real employees, who have job descriptions, expectations of productivity, performance coaching and room for advancement.
- Maintains financial records related to sales, payroll records and purchasing.
- Monitors individuals served by the CVS to ensure safety, attention to work, proper hygiene and other personal characteristics in the pursuit of individual goals. Provides emotional support to individuals served by CVS and monitors their emotional and physical well being. Ensures the rights of the individuals served by the Society are respected.
- You will need to be familiar with The Process of Discovery, Job Coaching, Task Analysis, and Job Development.
- Supervises the staff team.
**Note: this position includes both direct support and administrative work.
**Hours**:
Monday to Friday 9am-4pm
**Requirements**:
- Degree, Diploma or Certificate in Human Services or a related field or equivalent experience
- 3 to 5 years previous direct experience in the community social services sector with a demonstrated working knowledge of community based services to adults with mental disabilities and the related provincial and community support is required
- Experience and training in Customized Employment is required.
- Administrative experience is required including the ability to account for a small budget
- Supervisory experience is required including the ability to manage staff performance and ensure program accountability
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Safe, reliable car required with business insurance.
- This position requires union membership.
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Good organization and time management skills
- First Aid/CPR, class 5 drivers license, vehicle, criminal record check.
