**Responsibilities**:
Sushi Preparation: Prepare a variety of sushi rolls, sashimi, and other sushi dishes with precision and artistry.
Menu Development: Collaborate with the Head Chef to create innovative and enticing sushi offerings that align with Kissa's Japanese-inspired snack bar concept.
Quality Control: Ensure the highest standards of quality and freshness in all sushi items. Conduct regular inspections of ingredients to maintain freshness and quality.
Kitchen Operations: Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, coordinating with the Head Chef to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
Presentation: Pay careful attention to the visual presentation of dishes, maintaining an aesthetically pleasing and authentic appearance.
Sanitation and Safety: Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards, maintaining a clean and organized work environment at all times.
Training: Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff, sharing your expertise and knowledge of sushi preparation techniques.
**Requirements**:
Experience: Proven experience as a Sushi Chef, with a minimum of 4 years in a high-volume kitchen.
Culinary Skills: Expertise in traditional and contemporary sushi preparation techniques. Strong knife skills and attention to detail.
Creativity: Ability to bring a creative and innovative approach to sushi presentation and menu development.
Team Player: Collaborative mindset, able to work seamlessly with other kitchen staff and contribute to a positive team environment.
Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing menus, ingredients, and kitchen dynamics.
Communication: Effective communication skills to relay information to kitchen staff and interact with guests when needed.
Certifications: Possession of relevant certifications and food safety training.

**Salary**: $26.00 per hour
